Hedgesville

Still Rural

Hedgesville is midway between Martinsburg and Berkeley Springs. Rt 9 connects the two towns and runs through Hedgesville. Most of the growth is happening along Rt 9. If you head down Back Creek Valley Rd which is off Rt 9, you’ll see open countryside and Sleepy Creek Mountain to the west. If you are looking for a home with some acreage, consider Hedgesville. It’s more sparsely populated than the rest of Berkeley County. The 23,000 acre Sleepy Creek Wilderness Area is in Hedgesville. If you want to experience nature untouched and some really beautiful sites, you’ll love this Wilderness Area. There’s hiking, fishing, camping sites.
